About the event

The faster the world spins the more we need each other.

There are tens of thousands of bees in any given beehive and over the centuries they have refined the art of … consensus. Did you think we would say honey making? Before we get to forage for nectar, before we can build comb or even lay an egg, the bees know consensus. Consensus is a way to make collective decisions for the good of the community, with the whole community’s active participation! Here at Combcutters, we love drawing parallels between our world and the bees’ and are constantly in awe of how the spaces and practices that are good for them can serve our communities greatly.

This Mother’s day Sunday May 14th, we invite everyone to join our Consensus, Communication and Collaboration Workshop! We’ll learn how the three C’s play out in the hive. We’ll do a grounding exercise, discuss, then we’ll open up hives together to observe all of the things we learned.

In order to make this workshop accessible to everyone, we offer the following price tiers.  Please read below, choose the tier that works best for you, and enter that amount as your ticket price.

*PRICING IS PER PERSON*

HIVE ($60):

This is our solidarity price. It covers the full price of your experience with the bees and fully subsidizes another community member's participation, as well. You should consider this price if you can meet all your needs comfortably and can afford extra. This helps support our ongoing work and community as a whole.

BEE BREAD ($30):

This tier is full price. It pays us fairly, covers costs, and allows for us to share some funds with Urban Green Works. You should consider this price if most of your basic needs are met, comfortably.

BEESWAX ($15):

This is a reduced price. It covers your experience with the bees without having to over-stretch your budget. You should consider this tier if you are able to meet your basic needs but do so under some stress.

HONEY ($5):

This tier is a reduced price. It covers your experience with the bees and should be considered if you are under constant stress about meeting your needs, and often are not able to partake in leisurely, self-care activities. We got you!
