About the event
Writers, get your notebooks ready! Honeybees are fascinating creatures with complex societies. They play a larger-than-life role in our own history and society, and can easily weave themselves into any storyline. This workshop is designed for curious storytellers - professionals, and hobbyists alike. It’s a chance for you to dive deep into the vastness of bees, beekeeping, climate mitigation, food justice, libratory world building and more.
Come with questions, and leave with beekeeping anecdotes, the ability to represent bees in factual ways, and plenty of inspiration. We'll start with a short writing exercise and then dive right into learning about bees. We'll put on protective gear and open up a hive so participants can get up close and personal with the bees. We'll end with free time to wander the garden and write for a few minutes on our own.
In order to make this workshop accessible to everyone, we offer the following price tiers. Please read below, choose the tier that works best for you, and enter that amount as your ticket price.
